Prof. Mostafa Khiati is an elected Fellow of the Islamic Academy of Sciences since 1990.

Prof. Khiati was awarded his PhD in Medicine from the Algerian Medical Institute (1975).

A professor of medicine for some years, he was the Head of Department of Pediatrics at the El-Harrach Hospital in Algeria. Currently he is the President of the National Foundation for Health Progress and Medical Research Development in Algeria since 1990.

Prof. Khiati, who has over 80 published papers as well as 10 books, was educated in Algeria and had attended many training courses in Europe and Canada. He is involved in the publishing of many journals, foremost among which is the journal “Collection Science Medicals.”

He is an awardee of the 1984 “Shoman” award for Clinical Sciences, the 1986 “Maghrebian Medicine” award, the 1989 “Chadli Benjedid” award as well as the Union of Arab Physicians Award.

Dr Khiati is member/former member of the following organisations; the Medicine Society of Algeria (1977), Algerian Society of Pediatrics (1983-1986), and the international Association of Pediatrics.

Prof. Khiati has also been a consultant with the Algerian Ministry of Health.
