Dr.  Ashyralyev was born in Konekesir/Turkmenistan in 1955. He is married and has two sons and four daughters.  

Dr. Ashyralyev is a Turkmen Scientist of Mathematics. He graduated from the Turkmen State University in 1977. He obtained his PhD from the Voronezh State University in 1983 and Doctor of Sciences from the same University  and Institute of  Mathematics Ukraine Academy of  Sciences in 1992. Dr. Ashyralyev was Visiting Scholar  at the Voronezh State University, Russia in 1979, 1985, 1991 and University of California, Santa Barbara, USA in 1987-1988.

      Dr. Ashyralyev continued his career at the Turkmen State University from 1977 to 1999 as instructor, assistant professor (1985), associate professor (1989), and professor (1995), respectively. Since 1999 Prof. Ashyralyev is a staff member of the Department of Mathematics, Fatih University and is a joint professor at the International Turkmen-Turk University.

Prof. Ashyralyev have the following awards, activity, and memberships: 

  • Gold medal in 1972 for excellence among high schools.

  •  Lenin’s grant for students from 1974 to 1977, Turkmen State University, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan 

  • The first rank prize in 1983 for PhD students, Voronezh State University, Voronezh, Russia. 

  • Best University Teacher Award by Ministry of Education, Turkmenistan, 1996.

  •  Soros’s prize for scientists, USA, 1994. 

  •  Selected as the successful national scientist of Turkmenistan in last 30 years (second rank) by MyNetResearch Empowering Collaboration Search (which is based on the papers published in journals in Web of Science).

  • Lead Guest Editor of Annual Special Issue on “Well-Posed and Ill-Posed Boundary Value Problems for PDE” of Journal “Abstract and Applied Analysis”.

  •  Chief of Editor of Journal “Contemporary Analysis and Applied Mathematics”. 

  • Organizer of Mathematical Olympiads (First in 2008, Second in 2009, Third in 2010, Fourth 2011, Fifth 2012, Sixth 2013), Buyukcekmece, Istanbul, Turkey. 

  • Organizer of a special session "Numerical Functional Analysis"on the  6-th  ISAAC Congress, 2007, METU, Turkey, on the International Conference on Mathematical Sciences, 2009, Maltepe University, Turkey and on the  ICNAAM,  2011, 2012, Greece.

  • Member of Institute of Applied Mathematics of Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey (2007- to date).

  • Member of the advisory board of ICPAM of Trakya University, Edirne, Turkey, 2013.

  • Member of editorial board of 14 international journals and referee of 30 qualitative journals. 

  • Member of Turkmenistan State Committee of International Muhammet Al-Horezmi Awards in the Fields of Sciences and Technology, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan (From 1995-to 2004).

  •  Member of International Society of Difference Equations (2006- to date).

  • Member of Turkish-American Scientists and Scholars Association (2005- to date). 

  • Member of American Mathematical Society (2005- to date).

  • Member of the International Council of Scientists of the Latvian Academy of Sciences, 2012. 

He is the author of more than 290 scientific papers in international journals and conference proceedings including 120 international ISI journal publications and 12 books including two monographs published by Birkhauser-Verlag, in Operator Theory: Advances and Applications. He has successfully supervised 12 PhD students and  22 MS and 30 BS students. Dr. Ashyralyev's contribution to science and technology within Turkmenistan and Turkey has been tremendous which could be gauged from his active participation in a number of national research and academic organizations. Furthermore, his contribution in science and technology at the international level is equally remarkable which is evident from his current jointly research with scientists in different countries including USA, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Poland, Spain,  Brazil, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

Prof. Ashyralyev  was elected as a Fellow of the IAS in 2012.
